Today is an important day for the wines of Hvar!
Tonight Hvar Wine Tastings will be held at Škor Square in Stari Grad (Faros) at 9 p.m.
We will enjoy in the music of the Band Repassage from Split, while we taste the wines of Hvar, plavac, bogdanuša, opolo…
Do not miss to taste the sweet snacks of Ženske Zadruga Farija (Women Cooperative Fari)! Arancini, Figolini, Starogrojske paprenjoci…
While we will be preparing the Event in Stari Grad, in Italy at Wine Fredane Festival near Avellino in Campania, an Hvar Wine Workshop will be held.
What impression will make Hvar wines? We hope the wines will transmit the odor of Hvar clear sea and taste of the Hvar soil, that the farmer were “stealing” for centuries from the Hvar rocks and that the wines will tell the story about turbulent and proud Hvar history!
Let the wines of Hvar to be the most beautiful invitation for our Hvar, the Island of Wine!

Vrboska is one of the jewels of the island of Hvar, with art and architecture dating back to the 15th century, when it developed as the port of Vrbanj, with an attractive mix of renaissance, gothic and baroque styles.
While in Vrboska, before the Hvar Wine Tasting, you might like to visit the Fisherman’s Museum to discover the rich history of fishing on the island. Or check out the nearby church of St Lawrence, where you can see art by Venetian and Croatian artists, while the impressive fortified church of St Mary of Mercy offers wonderful views from its roof.
